IT Specialist for Updating Disability Identification

Job Overview:
The IT Specialist will play a crucial role in updating the Disability Management Information System (DMIS) in accordance with the newly revised Social and Rights-Based Disability Identification Guidelines. This position involves providing specialized IT support to enhance the DMIS mobile application, frontend and backend systems, and the Management Information System (MIS). The consultant will also be responsible for ensuring data interoperability with key systems, including the GS-NSPC social protection registration portal and other relevant platforms. The role requires a strong understanding of system architecture and software development methodologies, as well as the ability to analyze complex business requirements and provide innovative software solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Update and enhance the Disability Management Information System (DMIS) to align with the revised guidelines.
• Provide technical support for the DMIS mobile application, ensuring it meets user needs and functions effectively.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data interoperability with other systems, including social protection registration portals.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of the DMIS and its components to ensure reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and user guides.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Provide training and support to users of the DMIS and related systems.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software development and system management.

Required Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s university degree in IT, digital systems, coding, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, PHP, React, and JavaScript.
• Expert-level coding skills in PHP, particularly with the Laravel Framework.
• Proven experience in app systems design and/or systems management.
• Strong technical knowledge of system architecture, software development methodologies, programming languages, databases, and network infrastructure.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and provide innovative software solutions.

Educational Background:
A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, digital systems, coding, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies may be advantageous.

Experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in relevant fields, particularly in DevOps and software development. Experience working with large-scale system-based programs and fintech is highly desirable. At least 2 years of progressive experience in app systems design and management is also required.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this position is 26 months. The working arrangement is home-based with potential travel required.
