Job Overview:
The Project Analyst, Gender and Social Inclusion, will play a crucial role in integrating gender equality and social inclusion within UNDP’s waste, chemicals, and circular economy programs. The primary focus will be on improving the livelihoods, safety, and access to social protection for informal waste workers. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including government entities, private sector organizations, and civil society, to ensure that design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design, implementation, and monitoring are inclusive. The role will build upon lessons learned from previous initiatives, such as Project Utthaan, to enhance the effectiveness of interventions aimed at informal waste workers. The Project Analyst will be responsible for leading the integration of gender equality and social inclusion across project activities, ensuring that these dimensions are systematically embedded in all aspects of project work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Analyst will have a range of responsibilities, including:

• Leading the integration of gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) in project design and implementation, applying relevant frameworks and tools to ensure inclusion is embedded in project activities.
• Coordinating and overseeing social inclusion interventions for informal waste workers, focusing on enhancing access to social protection, occupational safety, financial inclusion, and sustainable livelihoods.
• Analyzing project components and field-level challenges to identify inclusion gaps, particularly for women, and developing context-specific solutions to strengthen program delivery.
• Providing technical support and coordination across project locations to ensure quality and timely implementation of activities, facilitating issue resolution, and strengthening linkages between field teams and the central project team.
• Establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with government counterparts, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), civil society organizations (CSOs), and private sector stakeholders to enhance coordination and service delivery.
• Supporting the development of GESI-responsive indicators within project frameworks and contributing to baseline assessments and data collection processes to monitor progress and impacts.
• Compiling and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to generate insights on inclusion outcomes and contributing to high-quality project reports and donor communications.
• Providing technical inputs to policy analysis, program guidelines, and proposal development, and designing capacity-building initiatives for stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the aforementioned areas, combined with an additional two years of qualifying experience, will be considered. Applicants with a Master’s degree are not required to have prior professional work experience, while those with a Bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in areas such as gender equality, social inclusion, livelihoods, and social protection. Proven ability to coordinate effectively with government agencies, civil society organizations, and community-based partners is essential.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Gender Studies, Development Studies, Public Policy, or Social Sciences. A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in these areas, along with two additional years of relevant experience, will also be considered. Experience:
