Job Overview: The E T Consultant – Agile Coach position at the World Bank Group is designed for individuals who are passionate about fostering Agile methodologies within the organization. This role is pivotal in enabling teams and leaders across the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit to adopt and enhance Agile practices such as Scrum and Kanban. The Agile Coach will facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, and discussions aimed at clarifying goals, improving collaboration, and accelerating delivery outcomes. The position requires a deep understanding of Agile principles and the ability to adapt practices to the specific context and maturity of various teams. The Agile Coach will also play a crucial role in identifying and addressing delivery bottlenecks, enhancing transparency, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the E T Consultant – Agile Coach include: A. Agile Ways of Working Enablement & Delivery Coaching: Coaching teams and leaders in adopting Agile methodologies, facilitating workshops, supporting effective backlog management, identifying delivery bottlenecks, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. B. Team Formation, Collaboration & Ownership Clarity: Assisting teams in defining roles and responsibilities, enhancing collaboration, facilitating structured conversations, and proposing improvements to organizational structures that hinder teamwork. C. Execution Visibility, Flow & Tooling Practices: Supporting teams in utilizing enterprise delivery tools like Azure DevOps, encouraging consistent practices for backlog management, and helping teams interpret delivery metrics to improve predictability and quality. D. Leadership Enablement & Continuous Improvement: Partnering with leaders to strengthen understanding of Agile principles, facilitating retrospectives and learning sessions, and providing guidance on adapting Agile practices to maintain focus on outcomes. E. Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Communication: Engaging with stakeholders to build understanding of Agile practices, communicating with executive leadership about the benefits of Agile, and fostering open dialogue to align expectations and reinforce shared ownership of transformation outcomes.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the E T Consultant – Agile Coach position should possess a Master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field. Additionally, candidates should have experience in supporting IT operating model changes, transformation enablement, and organizational change. Proficiency in using delivery and planning tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira is essential. Certifications such as SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), Scrum, Kanban, or enterprise Agile coaching certifications are highly desirable. Knowledge of Design Thinking, Human-Centered Design, and change enablement certifications like Prosci Certified Change Practitioner (PCCP) will be advantageous.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree combined with significant relevant experience may also be acceptable. The emphasis is on candidates who have a strong foundation in Agile methodologies and IT transformation.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have substantial experience in Agile coaching and IT transformation.
