Job Overview:
The Partnership & Membership Coordinator will play a crucial role in enhancing and expanding the network of the Alliance of Ukrainian Civil Society Organisations (CSOs). This position is centered on membership development, partnership building, coordination, and providing strategic support to ensure that members can collaborate effectively. The Coordinator will help advance localization objectives and strengthen the Alliance's influence throughout Ukraine. Success in this role will be evaluated based on the growth, effectiveness, and sustainability of the membership network and partnerships. This project-based role is set to run from September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, and will report to the Director of the Alliance of Ukrainian CSOs and relevant Human Resources Managers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Partnership & Membership Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining membership criteria, processes, and approaches that align with the Alliance’s objectives and values. This includes strengthening and expanding the Alliance network at both national and local levels to support the implementation of the localization strategy. The Coordinator will design and implement strategies for partnership and network development, fostering collaboration, learning, and resource sharing among members. Additionally, the role involves supporting the development of community-led approaches and promoting inclusive partnership models that reinforce local leadership. The Coordinator will assess opportunities for regional network development and adapt the Alliance model to various local contexts as needed. Coordination of Alliance members and support for planning and delivering activities for members and partners is also a key responsibility. Building and maintaining productive relationships with civil society organizations, community representatives, public authorities, and other stakeholders to advance shared objectives is essential. The Coordinator will provide technical advice, peer support, reporting, and strategic guidance to enhance member organizations and overall network performance.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in social sciences, human rights, development studies, or a related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree combined with additional relevant professional experience is acceptable. At least five years of relevant experience in partnership management, program development, network coordination, or organizational development is required, ideally within humanitarian, development, or peacebuilding contexts. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing partnerships within membership organizations, civil society networks, or multi-stakeholder environments is essential. A strong understanding of the humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding sectors, including strategy development, stakeholder engagement, coordination, and advocacy, is necessary. Proven experience working with civil society organizations, international non-governmental organizations, United Nations agencies, donors, or development partners is also required, supported by excellent networking, mentoring, and facilitation skills.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s degree in social sciences, human rights, development studies, or another relevant field. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree may also be considered if they have additional relevant professional experience that compensates for the lack of a Master’s degree.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least five years of relevant experience in areas such as partnership management, program development, network coordination, or organizational development. This experience should ideally be within the humanitarian, development, or peacebuilding sectors, demonstrating a strong capability to manage partnerships and coordinate networks effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in Ukrainian is mandatory, along with a high standard of spoken and written English. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not explicitly required.
