Job Overview:
The Driver position is crucial for ensuring safe and timely transportation services for the OHCHR Representative, staff members, and other officials. The role involves driving official vehicles for missions within Tunis and throughout Tunisia, meeting official visitors at airports, and facilitating their transportation arrangements. The Driver is expected to maintain the vehicles in good operational condition, complete vehicle logbooks accurately, and report any maintenance needs promptly. Additionally, the Driver will provide logistical support for OHCHR activities, meetings, and field missions, ensuring compliance with United Nations safety and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security procedures. This position requires a commitment to professionalism and confidentiality while performing duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Driver will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation for the OHCHR Representative, staff members, consultants, and experts on mission. Key duties include driving official vehicles for missions within Tunis and throughout Tunisia, meeting official visitors at airports, and facilitating transportation arrangements. The Driver must ensure strict compliance with United Nations road safety and security procedures, maintain assigned vehicles in clean and good operating condition, and carry out routine vehicle inspections. Responsibilities also include arranging for routine servicing, maintaining accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel consumption records, and maintenance records, delivering and collecting official mail, documents, and small equipment, providing logistical support for meetings, workshops, conferences, and field missions, ensuring that vehicle registration, insurance, and inspection documents remain valid, and maintaining confidentiality regarding all official information acquired during the course of duty. The Driver may also perform any other related duties assigned by the Representative or designated supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license. A minimum of two years of professional driving experience is required, with experience working with the United Nations, an international organization, diplomatic mission, or NGO being desirable. Candidates should have excellent knowledge of the road network throughout Tunisia, experience in defensive driving, and transporting senior officials is considered an asset. Technical skills include basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook and Word), the ability to use GPS and navigation applications, and a good understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is a High School Diploma or equivalent. Candidates must also hold a valid driver's license throughout the duration of the contract.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of professional driving experience. Experience working with the United Nations, an international organization, diplomatic mission, or NGO is desirable. Candidates should also have excellent knowledge of the road network throughout Tunisia and experience in defensive driving and transporting senior officials is an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in Arabic and French, both oral and written, is required for this position. A working knowledge of English is desirable, which would enhance communication in a multilingual environment.
