Job Overview:
The Operations Analyst position at MIGA is designed for an individual who is passionate about private sector development in emerging markets and innovation. The role is based in Seoul, South Korea, and is part of the MIGA Asia team. The Analyst will work under the supervision of the Senior Underwriter, engaging in various tasks that support MIGA Korea's activities. This includes business development, managing relationships with key clients and partners, and coordinating with MIGA stakeholders such as shareholders, development partner agencies, development financial institutions, and private sector players in Korea and Asia. The Analyst will also assist in underwriting activities, contributing to the overall mission of MIGA to promote foreign direct investment and support sustainable development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Operations Analyst include conducting independent research on various sectors and regions, preparing briefing notes for senior management, and analyzing financial data of specific companies. The Analyst will collect and synthesize data from public and WBG sources for business development and project assessment, as well as research and identify relevant investor/sector conferences. Additionally, the Analyst will prepare presentations and pitchbooks, maintain project leads and client lists, and utilize the client management system to provide reports. In terms of underwriting guarantees, the Analyst will assist in the underwriting process, prepare relevant reports, and liaise with counterparties to ensure data quality. The role also involves tracking project statuses, writing routine reports, and collaborating with staff from other units on special assignments.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related fields, along with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in areas such as project/export finance, investment banking, or corporate finance. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of Excel and the ability to develop complex financial models, strong analytical and conceptual skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Korean are essential.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related fields. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of project finance and investment-related work, which are central to the responsibilities of the Operations Analyst role.

Experience:
The position requires at least 3 years of relevant work experience in fields such as project/export finance, investment banking, corporate finance, or investment-related roles at a corporate, institution, agency, or advisory firm. Languages:
