Job Overview: The E T Consultant position at the World Bank Group is designed to provide integrated support across various functions, including trust fund management, administrative coordination, communications, and knowledge management. The consultant will play a pivotal role in enhancing the operational effectiveness and visibility of the SCFI by ensuring timely reporting, smooth implementation of the trust fund portfolio, and effective dissemination of information. This role is critical in supporting the SCFI's mission to strengthen financial and private sector development in the East Asia and Pacific region, particularly in the context of the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The consultant will collaborate closely with the SCFI team and other stakeholders to ensure that the objectives of the trust fund are met and that the organization continues to deliver high-quality operational and knowledge outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the E T Consultant include: A. Trust Fund Management and Donor Reporting:
Support the daily management of the SCFI Trust Fund portfolio, including tracking grant approvals, commitments, disbursements, and implementation status.
Assist in internal reporting, monitoring, and evaluation data collection, ensuring compliance with World Bank trust fund requirements.
Prepare donor-facing deliverables such as annual reports, presentations, results summaries, financial tables, and ad hoc briefing notes.
Maintain an up-to-date portfolio monitoring system, including grant-level documentation, work plans, and key milestones.
Support operational preparation for the next phase of the SCFI Trust Fund (Phase 5). B. Communications and Outreach:
Design and implement SCFI communication and visibility activities in accordance with donor requirements and World Bank guidelines.
Prepare communication materials, including newsletters, short articles, event summaries, and web content.
Coordinate the production and regular dissemination of the SCFI newsletter and other outreach materials. C. Website and Digital Content Management:
Manage and regularly update the SCFI website, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of project descriptions, news items, publications, and event information.
Collaborate with technical and communications teams to maintain consistency in online content. D. Knowledge Management:
Develop and maintain knowledge repositories within the SCFI website.
Organize knowledge products, presentations, reports, and learning materials for improved accessibility. E. Administrative, Operational, and Event Management Support:
Provide administrative support for SCFI activities, including meetings, missions, conferences, and knowledge exchange programs.
Coordinate logistics for SCFI events, including agendas, venue arrangements, participant coordination, and materials preparation.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth event delivery.
Support procurement, contracting, and documentation processes related to SCFI-funded activities.
Assist with budget tracking, payment follow-up, and operational documentation.
Maintain organized records of contracts, event documentation, correspondence, and operational files.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the E T Consultant position include:
A Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, finance, public policy, international development, communications, or a related field is essential.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in operations support, trust fund or project management, communications, or knowledge management, preferably within an international organization.
Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with fluency in Korean being mandatory.
Proven experience with donor reporting, portfolio tracking, and administrative processes is highly desirable.
Proficiency in common office and digital tools, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and content management systems.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate effectively in a multicultural team environment.
Educational Background: Candidates for the E T Consultant position are expected to hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as economics, finance, public policy, international development, or communications.
