Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Social Media, Digital Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator include:
Developing social media plans and editorial calendars that align with WFP's global advocacy and fundraising campaigns.
Curating, producing, and managing high-quality digital content, including graphics, videos, and written posts for social media channels, the website, and email newsletters.
Tracking performance metrics and analyzing audience insights to optimize digital engagement strategies.
Monitoring online trends and conversations to provide timely updates that enhance audience engagement and manage reputational risks.
Supporting the planning and coordination of events led by SEO’s public and private sector partnerships teams.
Assisting in managing relationships with WFP Goodwill Ambassadors and identifying opportunities for campaigns and digital content creation.
Engaging with influencers, social media groups, and creative agencies to expand outreach.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to generate dynamic and impactful content.
Performing other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications: The position requires a university degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Candidates must have at least one year of professional experience in social media management, digital marketing, and content creation. Proven work experience in these areas is essential, along with a good understanding of social media KPIs and digital marketing performance analysis. The ability to deliver creative and high-quality digital content is crucial, as is the capacity to write compelling social media copy. Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and video editing tools is preferred.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a university degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism.
