Job Overview:
The Audiovisual Facilitator Consultant will play a crucial role in the 'Rio Inclusivo e Sustentável Project,' which aims to localize the Sustainable Development Goals in the State of Rio de Janeiro. This position involves engaging youth, particularly in public schools, through innovative methodologies such as gamification and educommunication. The consultant will be responsible for training youth in audiovisual production, enabling them to create narratives about their territories and experiences related to climate justice and sustainability. The consultant will work closely with UN-Habitat’s operational and technical teams to ensure that the activities align with the project’s objectives and UN-Habitat principles. The role requires a combination of technical skills in audiovisual production and the ability to facilitate creative processes with young participants, fostering their engagement in urban resilience topics.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Audiovisual Facilitator Consultant will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including: planning and implementing training activities in audiovisual production; providing technical support for the conception and creation of audiovisual content; guiding participants in using tools and techniques for recording and editing; supporting the integration of educational activities with audiovisual production; monitoring the content production process to ensure quality and coherence; organizing exhibitions for the produced content; preparing technical reports and documentation related to the activities; and ensuring alignment with UN-Habitat principles regarding inclusion and social participation. The consultant will also be responsible for completing required training courses, including the BSAFE security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security course from UNDSS, during the first month of employment.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Production, Cinema, Communication, Journalism, Digital Media, Design, or related fields. Alternatively, candidates with an additional three years of relevant experience beyond the educational requirement will also be considered. A postgraduate degree in relevant fields is desirable. The position requires a minimum of four years of experience in audiovisual production, communication, or related fields, with specific experience in producing audiovisual content in Brazil. Experience in facilitating workshops or working with youth is essential, and familiarity with educommunication and community-based projects is preferred. Previous experience within the UN System is also desirable.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Production, Cinema, Communication, Journalism, Digital Media, Design, or related fields is required. A postgraduate degree in these areas is desirable but not mandatory. Candidates with significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal educational qualifications.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of experience in audiovisual production, communication, or related fields. Candidates should have experience producing various forms of audiovisual content, including video, photography, and digital media, specifically within Brazil. Experience in facilitating workshops and training activities, particularly with youth, is essential. Familiarity with projects related to sustainability, climate change, or social development is also beneficial. Previous experience working within the UN System is a plus.

Languages:
Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory for this position. Working knowledge of English and/or Spanish is desirable, as English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat, while Spanish is the working language of the Regional Office.

Additional Notes:
The consultant will be appointed on a local basis, and only nationals from Brazil or candidates with a permanent visa in Brazil may apply. The contract is part-time (82%) for a total net amount of BRL 32,00
