The organization currently operates with 27 specialized agencies, funds, and programs in Tunisia, all working towards their respective mandates.

Job Overview:
The Urban Climate Intern position at UN-Habitat involves supporting various projects under the climate urban portfolio. The intern will assist in research related to ongoing or upcoming projects, contribute to writing urban climate resilience project ideas, and help with day-to-day tasks associated with project development and funds mobilization. The role also includes supporting fieldwork tasks, taking meeting minutes, and managing logistics during workshops. The intern will report directly to the head of the office and the program assistant, gaining valuable experience in the workings of a UN agency and contributing to significant urban climate initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's responsibilities will include supporting research efforts related to ongoing or upcoming projects within the climate urban portfolio, assisting in the development of urban climate resilience project ideas, and engaging in daily tasks that pertain to project development and mobilization of funds. The intern will also be responsible for fieldwork-related tasks, documenting meeting minutes, and managing logistics for workshops. Additionally, the intern may be assigned other tasks relevant to the mandates of UN-Habitat, providing a comprehensive experience in the field of urban climate initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria at the time of application: be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), be in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent), or have graduated with a Bachelor's degree, Master's, PhD, or equivalent. Proficiency in standard software applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite, is required. Candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in the work of the United Nations and a personal commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter. Additionally, applicants should have the ability to interact successfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and beliefs, showing a willingness to understand and tolerate differing opinions and views. Educational Background:
The educational background required for this internship includes being a student in the final year of a first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), a Master's or Ph.D. program, or having completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program. While professional work experience is not required for applicants to the UN Internship Programme, a field of study closely related to the internship is necessary. Proof of enrollment or completion of the relevant degree must be provided during the application process.

Experience:
While applicants are not required to have prior professional work experience, it is essential that their field of study is closely related to the internship position they are applying for. Languages:
Fluency in both oral and written English and French is required for this internship position, as these are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
