Job Overview: The position of Asesor para el Cambio en Pedagogía is integral to the implementation of the UNESCO-Quellaveco-Reimagina Project, which aims to enhance educational outcomes for 12,000 students in the Moquegua region of Peru. The consultant will provide technical assistance and pedagogical support to school leaders and teachers in prioritized educational institutions, focusing on improving student learning outcomes. The role involves collaborating with educational teams to strengthen leadership, promote innovative learning methodologies, and ensure that educational projects address real community challenges. The consultant will also be responsible for developing and evaluating training actions, guiding educational project development, and consolidating information for reporting purposes. This position requires a proactive approach to fostering collaboration among educational institutions and promoting a positive team spirit within the project framework.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including:
Planning and coordinating programmatic activities to support school leadership and teacher collaboration.
Ensuring that educational projects contribute to solving real community problems and align with identified territorial challenges.
Promoting visibility for transformative educational experiences at local, regional, and national levels.
Developing and evaluating collective training actions to enhance professional competencies among educational stakeholders.
Providing guidance on educational project development using active learning methodologies.
Consolidating and organizing information on project progress for monthly and quarterly reports.
Maintaining systematic records of school visits and activities conducted.
Preparing final reports that evaluate the implementation of educational projects and strategies, including lessons learned and recommendations for future interventions.
Actively participating in team meetings and contributing to the overall performance of the project.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, with a specialization in areas such as communication, language and literature, mathematics, science, or social sciences. A postgraduate degree in education or social sciences is desirable. Additionally, candidates should have over 8 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years of teaching experience in public educational institutions at the primary or secondary level. Experience in educational projects as an advisor or technical assistant is also required, along with a proven track record in managing educational networks and community engagement.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, with a focus on specific subject areas such as language, mathematics, or sciences. A postgraduate degree in education or related fields is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's qualifications for the role.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have significant professional experience, specifically over 8 years in the education sector. This includes at least 5 years of teaching experience in public institutions and a minimum of 3 experiences in educational projects, where the candidate has served in roles such as advisor, monitor, or technical assistant. Experience in managing educational networks and community projects is also essential, demonstrating the candidate's ability to engage effectively with educational stakeholders.

Additional Notes: The contract for this position is a consultant contract lasting four months, subject to budget availability and performance evaluation.
