Job Overview:
The Intern - IT security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security & Operation position is designed to support the organization's security operations, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives. The intern will focus on monitoring and responding to security threats, managing vulnerabilities and access controls, supporting cloud security integrations, and ensuring effective security remediation. This role is crucial for security analytics and reporting, which includes developing dashboards, scorecards, risk matrices, compliance reports, and security metrics to provide clear visibility into the organization's security posture. The intern will work closely with IT and business teams, maintain security documentation and operational procedures, and contribute to periodic audits and emerging threat assessments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for responding to technical security issues in a professional and timely manner. They will analyze security threats, vulnerabilities, and risk assessment reports, and support security remediation activities by implementing changes, upgrades, and security controls. The intern will assist in integrating cloud applications with enterprise security solutions and troubleshoot integration issues. They will safeguard information system assets by identifying, analyzing, and helping resolve potential and actual security risks. Additionally, the intern will support identity and access management by implementing and maintaining access controls, privileges, and security policies. Monitoring security events and alerts, investigating anomalies, and escalating incidents in accordance with established procedures will also be part of their responsibilities. The intern will prepare and maintain security dashboards, operational reports, and executive summaries to provide visibility into the organization's security posture. They will collect, analyze, and visualize security data from multiple security platforms to create meaningful security metrics, develop and maintain security scorecards, risk matrices, compliance dashboards, and trend reports to track vulnerabilities, incidents, remediation progress, and overall security performance. Documenting security procedures, standards, technical documentation, and operational runbooks will be required, as well as collaborating with cross-functional IT and business teams to support security initiatives and continuous improvement. Staying up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices is essential, as is determining security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a graduation degree in a related field such as BE, B-Tech, or BCA. They should be able to work with Zero Trust principles and security architecture. A good knowledge of SIEM/SOAR, XDR, and Security Playbooks is required, along with an understanding of Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) concepts and best practices. Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft Entra ID Protection (Azure AD Identity Protection) is also necessary. Candidates should understand the principles of data discovery, data protection, data classification, and data governance. An advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, administration" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth, and common security elements is essential. Additionally, candidates should possess good hands-on knowledge in creating presentations and visual ways of presenting as part of security reporting.

Educational Background:
