Job Overview:
The Individual Contractor for Public Information will play a crucial role in the live streaming and coverage of significant United Nations meetings and events, particularly during the 81st General Assembly session. This position requires the contractor to manage the scheduling and monitoring of live streams, ensuring that at least 50 meetings/events are covered each month. The contractor will also be responsible for editing and publishing content on the UN Web TV platform, translating metadata text from English to other official UN languages, and assisting with social media coverage. Duties and Responsibilities:
The contractor will be tasked with providing daily live and on-demand streaming coverage on UN Web TV, specifically for the 81st General Assembly session and other UN meetings held at UN Headquarters in New York. Responsibilities include scheduling and monitoring live streaming coverage, creating video clips from live events, editing recorded videos, and publishing them on the UN Web TV cloud video platform. The contractor will also translate metadata text from English to other assigned official languages for at least 40 meetings per month. Additionally, the contractor will assist with live and on-demand streaming coverage on social media platforms, including the UN YouTube channel and UN Web TV's Facebook and X accounts. The contractor will be required to create detailed analytics for assigned events and perform any other tasks as needed by the Chief of the Unit and the Languages team leader.

Required Qualifications:
