Job Overview: The Board Coordinator position is integral to the functioning of the Board of Directors and the Association Team at MSF Canada. This role serves as a vital link between the Board, the Association membership, MSF Canada employees, and volunteers. The Board Coordinator is responsible for maximizing the efficiency of the Board by coordinating and facilitating key tasks and activities, particularly those of the Board President. Duties and Responsibilities: The Board Coordinator will coordinate Board activities, manage the Board calendar, and ensure all documentation required for Board operations is organized and accessible. Responsibilities include driving coordination of Board events, developing communications for stakeholders, and managing operational tasks to keep the Board focused on its strategic oversight role. Specific duties include developing and managing the annual Board calendar, tracking the completion of annual priority tasks, organizing and maintaining Board documents, providing logistical and administrative support to Board Committees, coordinating Board meeting logistics, monitoring the Board budget, ensuring compliance with required trainings, and serving as the point of contact for Board technical requests. The Coordinator will also manage the Board inbox and draft communications on behalf of the President, ensuring alignment with key messaging.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a solid understanding of governance expectations for Canadian charities and/or MSF entities.
