Job Overview: The Safeguards Information Assistant plays a vital role within the Department of Safeguards at the IAEA, which is responsible for ensuring that nuclear materials are not diverted from peaceful uses. Duties and Responsibilities: The Safeguards Information Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: collecting and processing diverse data related to safeguards verification and State declarations; ensuring accurate data entry into relevant databases; maintaining electronic files in the Integrated Safeguards Environment; monitoring and tracking data flow and work processes; assisting in the preparation of evaluation reports; providing administrative support for scientific meetings; and addressing ad hoc analysis requests. The assistant will also be expected to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of reports and data products.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have completed secondary education and possess a minimum of five years of experience in data processing, quality control, or similar tasks. They should demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, especially during high workload periods. Proficiency in MS Office and experience with database management are essential. Additionally, candidates should have strong analytical skills and the ability to work with various systems and tools to produce reports and analyses.
Educational Background: A completed secondary education is required for this position. Further education or training in data management, information technology, or a related field would be advantageous and may enhance a candidate's application.
Experience: The position requires at least five years of relevant experience in data processing, data quality control, or similar roles.
