Job Overview:
The position involves working within the framework of UNICEF's cooperation program with the Colombian government, which spans from March 2025 to December 202
  • The consultant will be responsible for developing methodologies and tangible products related to childhood and adolescence, focusing on vulnerable populations. This role requires a deep understanding of the issues affecting children and adolescents, particularly in areas such as education, participation, and leadership. The consultant will also engage in the collection and analysis of information, contributing to the overall goals of UNICEF in Colombia.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement methodological frameworks for the collection and analysis of data related to children and adolescents.
  • Create tangible products such as guides, manuals, and educational materials that address the needs of vulnerable populations.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector, to ensure comprehensive protection for children and adolescents.
  • Conduct participatory workshops and training sessions to disseminate methodologies and gather feedback.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented methodologies and make necessary adjustments based on findings.
  • Prepare detailed reports on the progress and outcomes of the consultancy, ensuring alignment with UNICEF's strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications:
  • Professional degree in social sciences, human sciences, or natural sciences with specific experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly children, adolescents, and youth.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in methodological development and tangible product creation in the field of childhood and adolescence.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in information management and documentation.
  • Proven ability to develop participatory and educational methodologies.
  • Knowledge of issues related to childhood, with an emphasis on education, participation, and leadership.

Educational Background:
A professional degree in social sciences, human sciences, or natural sciences is required. Additional qualifications such as a specialization or master's degree in related fields are desirable.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant experience, particularly in working with vulnerable populations and developing methodologies for childhood and adolescence. Experience in managing information and documentation is essential, along with a proven track record in creating educational materials and guides.

Languages:
Fluent Spanish is mandatory, while English is desirable. Advanced knowledge of English is considered a plus.
