The Programme Associate (M&E) position at WFP is crucial for providing strategic leadership and oversight of monitoring, accountability, and learning functions within the organization. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Programme Associate (M&E) will be responsible for coordinating monitoring activities within the country office, providing technical expertise for evidence generation, and acting as the focal point for gender and disability inclusion. Key responsibilities include supporting program staff in understanding the impacts of assistance, collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports for operational decision-making, verifying planned assistance, and coordinating capacity building for government stakeholders and partners. The role also involves maintaining monitoring plans and documentation in compliance with WFP standards, ensuring data quality and accuracy, and working collaboratively with field office staff to achieve program objectives. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong analytical skills, data gathering and cleaning abilities, and the capacity to implement new ideas and concepts effectively. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential, along with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Experience in statistical analysis and data visualization is required, as well as familiarity with monitoring and evaluation practices. The candidate should have a background in working with technical teams and contributing to program implementation and policy discussions.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is the completion of secondary school education, along with a post-secondary certificate in a related functional area. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the foundational knowledge necessary for the responsibilities of the role.

Experience:
A minimum of six years of progressively responsible work experience is required, particularly in database management, statistical analyses, and monitoring and research of agricultural projects. This experience should demonstrate the candidate's ability to handle complex data and contribute to evidence-based decision-making processes within the organization.

Languages:
Fluency in Armenian is mandatory, along with a high level of competence in both oral and written English. A working knowledge of Russian (level B) is desired, as it may facilitate communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders in the region.
