Job Overview:
The Digital Fundraising Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing Save the Children's fundraising efforts through digital channels. Reporting initially to the Director of Growth & Fundraising Strategy, this position is responsible for developing and executing digital strategies that maximize revenue from existing supporters. The specialist will focus on email, SMS, and other direct digital channels to support donor retention and development initiatives. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing digital communications that enhance donor journeys and ongoing communication programs, ensuring that Save the Children can continue to fulfill its mission effectively. The position is hybrid, based in Toronto, and is open to applicants residing in Ontario, reflecting the organization's commitment to flexibility and work-life balance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Digital Fundraising Specialist will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: developing and implementing an annual multi-channel digital fundraising plan with a focus on email and SMS marketing; collaborating with colleagues to create digital communications that form part of multi-channel donor journeys; setting and achieving annual and campaign-specific income, donor, and media performance targets for digital fundraising activities; managing relationships with key digital vendors; aligning digital fundraising strategies with broader communications and engagement plans; working with the Brand & Communications team to provide impact updates to donors; supporting digital donor acquisition initiatives; creating digital communications using existing marketing platforms; continuously testing and optimizing digital campaigns; monitoring and reporting on key fundraising metrics; adjusting budget allocations based on campaign performance; tracking digital fundraising expenses; and coordinating activities to maximize impact and ensure brand alignment.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in digital fundraising and marketing. Experience in the International Development sector, NGOs, or not-for-profit organizations is preferred. Advanced knowledge of digital fundraising strategies and familiarity with trends in the Canadian market are essential. Proficiency in Marketing Cloud Engagement or similar digital marketing tools is required, along with intermediate skills in HTML and CSS. Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are necessary to build effective relationships across diverse audiences. Project management experience and proficiency with MS Office tools are also important, as is the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should have a post-secondary education in a relevant field such as marketing, communications, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience in digital fundraising or marketing roles may also be considered acceptable. Continuous learning and professional development are encouraged within the organization, and candidates should be open to acquiring new skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in digital fundraising, marketing, or communications is required. Candidates should have a proven track record of successfully managing digital campaigns and achieving fundraising targets. Experience in the not-for-profit sector, particularly within international development or NGOs, is highly desirable, as it provides valuable context for the role's responsibilities and objectives.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, while proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, or Arabic is considered an asset. This multilingual capability can enhance communication with diverse donor bases and stakeholders, aligning with Save the Children's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.

Additional Notes:
This position is classified under the CUPE Bargaining Unit and offers a salary range of $63,323.32 - $80,295.12 CAD, depending on skills and experience.
