Job Overview: The Technical Business Analysis and Agile Delivery Support position is crucial for the successful implementation of the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system within UNRWA. The incumbent will act as a bridge between healthcare stakeholders, the EMR vendor, and internal technical teams, ensuring that the project aligns with UNRWA's operational and clinical workflows. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of business analysis, Agile methodologies, and the system development lifecycle. The Business Analyst will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business, clinical, and functional requirements, as well as conducting business process analysis and Fit-Gap assessments. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to translate business needs into high-quality, user-centered digital health solutions that support UNRWA's strategic objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Technical Business Analyst include engaging with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to gather and document requirements, translating these into functional specifications, and ensuring alignment with project objectives. The role also involves supporting Agile and product backlog management, facilitating Agile/Scrum events, and monitoring sprint commitments. The incumbent will apply knowledge of the system development lifecycle to review solution designs, coordinate requirements clarification, and identify delivery risks. Additionally, the Business Analyst will manage vendor deliverables, support integration and data migration efforts, and ensure thorough testing and quality assurance processes are in place. The role also encompasses implementation support, user training, and gathering user feedback to enhance system usability and adoption.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, health informatics, business information technology, or a related field. Professional certifications in business analysis, Agile/Scrum, product ownership, project management, or software testing are highly desirable. Certifications such as Scrum Product Owner, Scrum Master, PMI-PBA, CBAP, PRINCE2, or PMP would be advantageous. The position requires a minimum of six years of relevant professional experience in technical business analysis, digital transformation, software implementation, or information systems projects, with demonstrated hands-on experience across the system development lifecycle and strong practical experience with Agile/Scrum delivery.
Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, software engineering, health informatics, or business information technology is required. Additional professional certifications in business analysis, Agile methodologies, or project management are highly desirable and can enhance a candidate's profile.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of six years of relevant professional experience, particularly in technical business analysis, digital transformation, or software implementation projects. Candidates should have demonstrated experience across the system development lifecycle and a strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies, including product backlog management and user story development.
Languages: Fluency in both Arabic and English is required for this position, as these are the working languages of UNRWA. Proficiency in both languages is essential for effective communication with stakeholders and for the successful execution of the role's responsibilities.
Additional Notes: This consultancy position is based in UNRWA's Headquarters in Amman, Jordan, and is open to local candidates only. The selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration of JOD 1,190.44 for each fully completed month. The contract duration is for 12 months, with the possibility of extension subject to the availability of funds and satisfactory performance. The role operates under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager (Health Info Sys) within the Digital Impact, Technology and Innovation Department (DITID). It is important to note that the United Nations does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process.
