Job Overview:
The Senior Solution Engineer position is based in The Hague, Netherlands, and is part of NATO's Digital Endeavour initiative. The role is situated within the Joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (JISR) Centre, which is responsible for delivering and supporting intelligence capabilities that maximize operational effectiveness across NATO. The Senior Solution Engineer will play a crucial role in translating operational requirements into technical solutions that are interoperable and mission-ready. This position requires a deep understanding of multi-INT disciplines, data engineering, and NATO's enterprise architectures. The engineer will ensure that the solutions provided enable timely and actionable intelligence across the JISR enterprise, thereby supporting NATO's strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Solution Engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: designing solution architectures that meet operational needs; defining and managing requirements for systems development; overseeing systems development management; designing networks that support JISR capabilities; managing sourcing and contracts related to technical solutions; and providing specialist advice to ensure the successful integration of solutions. The engineer will also be expected to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that the solutions align with NATO's standards and operational requirements. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a nationally recognized university in a related field, along with at least three years of relevant experience. Alternatively, candidates without a degree may qualify if they can demonstrate at least ten years of extensive and progressive experience in related duties. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in designing, integrating, and delivering software solutions that support intelligence operations, including the handling of diverse data sources and the application of AI/ML techniques. Strong analytical and systems thinking skills are essential for resolving integration challenges and ensuring coherence across the solution lifecycle.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution is required. Candidates with extensive experience in lieu of a degree may also be considered, provided they can demonstrate relevant expertise that aligns with the responsibilities of the position.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of post-related experience in a relevant field. Those without a degree must demonstrate at least ten years of extensive and progressive experience in duties related to the function of the post. Experience in multi-INT environments and the application of AI/ML techniques is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory for this position. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not explicitly required.
