Job Overview:
The position of Digitador de Datos is crucial for the operational and administrative support of the GastroLab program within WFP. The primary function of this role is to ensure the timely, complete, and accurate registration of profiles for young individuals certified through the GastroLab program on the Hiring Room platform. This involves the collection, organization, and verification of participant documentation, including the uploading of resumes and necessary data for job applications. The role requires a high level of organization, confidentiality, and attention to detail, as the individual will be responsible for maintaining a reliable and updated database of participant information. The position operates under the supervision of the employability team and is integral to facilitating job opportunities for youth in the culinary and tourism sectors, thereby contributing to the broader mission of WFP in El Salvador.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Digitador de Datos include:
  • Collecting, organizing, and reviewing documentation from participants for registration on the designated platform.
  • Uploading and archiving resumes (CVs) and supporting documents on the platform.
  • Identifying incomplete, duplicate, or inconsistent information in records.
  • Contacting beneficiaries via phone as necessary to complete, confirm, or correct required information on the platform.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and proper safeguarding of personal information of beneficiaries.
  • Preparing simple progress reports on the number of records entered and pending when requested.
  • Ensuring compliance with established standards for managing labor profiles on the platform.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Digitador de Datos position include:
  • A completed secondary education (high school diploma) is mandatory.
  • University students or graduates are preferred.
  • Desirable experience in data entry, document management, database updates, or information input on digital platforms.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and digital tools is required for managing and updating electronic records.
  • Experience in customer service or follow-up calls is desirable, with the ability to conduct verification and information updates for beneficiaries.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with a clear, cordial, and respectful demeanor.
  • Attention to detail to validate information, ensuring the quality, integrity, and consistency of entered records.
