Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Asistente Superior de Logística will have several key responsibilities, including: providing specialized support to logistics operations for the school feeding pilot; coordinating requests and ensuring timely delivery of products and supplies; managing logistics activities related to supplier contracts and performance measurement; gathering market information and coordinating supplier evaluations; addressing complex operational issues and proposing solutions; preparing and reviewing budgets to ensure compliance with institutional standards; verifying that delivered food meets nutritional and safety specifications; conducting thorough analyses of operational chains; managing documentation for logistics operations; conducting research and data analysis to produce comprehensive reports; maintaining contact with internal and external stakeholders; supporting capacity-building activities for WFP staff and partners; and fulfilling additional responsibilities as assigned based on institutional priorities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in fields such as Transport, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related areas. Additionally, they should have over 5 years of relevant work experience in either the public or private sector, particularly in coordinating with transport providers and managing projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and SAP is essential, along with excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. The ability to work under pressure, independently, and with attention to detail is crucial, as well as strong interpersonal skills and assertive communication abilities.

Educational Background:
A university degree in a relevant field such as Transport, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Business Administration is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage logistics operations and contribute to the school feeding program.

Experience:
The position requires more than 5 years of professional experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields.
