Job Overview: The position of Information Technology and Analytics (ITA) Officer / Senior Officer at IDB Invest is designed for a dedicated, collaborative, and forward-thinking individual who will deliver reliable IT services and contribute to the execution of strategic digital transformation initiatives. The selected candidate will support daily IT operations, participate in key technology projects, and help modernize the organization’s digital ecosystem. Working within the Technology Team, which is part of the Information Technology and Analytics Department (ITA), the officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day IT services, ensuring operational continuity, and leading the implementation of IDB Invest’s Digital Transformation initiatives, all aligned with institutional priorities and the broader technology roadmap. The officer will report to the Information Principal Officer and will play a crucial role in the organization’s technological advancements.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Information Technology and Analytics Officer / Senior Officer include supporting the adoption and integration of low-code, asset-light, and commercial off-the-shelf solutions to help the organization scale technology delivery efficiently and securely. The officer will collaborate with enterprise architects and technical leads to design and implement scalable, integrated solutions that align with enterprise architecture and data governance principles. Responsibilities also include designing and reviewing architecture diagrams, system flows, and integration models, guiding the implementation of integration solutions using APIs and middleware for secure and efficient data exchange. The officer will act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment and successful delivery of technical solutions across various functions. Additionally, the officer will manage end-to-end SaaS solutions, coordinate daily IT operations, and lead or contribute to the planning and execution of digital transformation initiatives. Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical and functional documentation, conducting technical reviews, and ensuring alignment with the organization's technology roadmap are also key responsibilities.
Required Qualifications: The position requires a Master’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or other relevant fields. In lieu of a Master's Degree, a Bachelor's Degree along with specific certifications may be considered. Required certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified SAFe® Agilist, ITIL 4, COBIT 2019, MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, and Project Management Professional (PMP).
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree combined with relevant certifications may be acceptable. The educational background should reflect a strong foundation in IT principles and practices, particularly in areas related to cloud architecture, IT service management, integration, and project management.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 4 years of progressive experience in IT operations, cloud-based systems implementation (SaaS, PaaS), business analysis, or digital transformation. A minimum of 5 years of experience is desirable for those leading or managing complex IT projects, enterprise system integrations, or digital transformation initiatives within banking or corporate environments.
Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory, along with proficiency in one of the other Bank's official languages, which include Spanish, French, or Portuguese. This bilingual capability is essential for effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders.
Additional Notes: The position is a national staff contract for an initial duration of 36 months, with the possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.
