Job Overview: The position of Conductor GS3 at WFP involves providing efficient and safe transportation services to senior WFP personnel, high-level United Nations officials, and visitors. The role requires not only driving but also coordinating transportation services, planning itineraries, and ensuring the maintenance of vehicles. The Conductor will be responsible for adhering to safety regulations and protocols while delivering high-quality service. Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide transportation services to senior WFP personnel, UN officials, and visitors, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
Plan and assign itineraries and schedules for other drivers to promote efficient transportation services.
Welcome official personnel and visitors at the airport or other arrival points, assisting with visa processing and customs formalities.
Maintain accurate vehicle records and report daily on mechanical conditions to ensure efficient vehicle use and fuel consumption.
Plan and coordinate vehicle maintenance to ensure readiness and compliance with travel authorizations and necessary supplies.
Follow established protocols for deliveries and accidents, reporting issues to supervisors for informed decision-making.
Perform basic office tasks such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining order in storage areas to provide administrative support.
Required Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include completion of secondary education, official driver training, and a valid driving license or certificate for the assigned vehicle. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of driving regulations, safety protocols, and customer service principles. Knowledge of local roads and conditions is essential, along with the ability to coordinate transportation schedules effectively. Candidates should also demonstrate a commitment to safety and efficiency in vehicle operation and maintenance.
Educational Background: Candidates must have completed secondary education and possess formal driver training. A valid driving license or certificate for the vehicle type assigned is mandatory, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
