Job Overview: The position of Information, Knowledge and Data Management Analysts is based in either Mons or Brussels, Belgium, and is part of NATO's initiative to enhance its IT services in support of NATO’s Digital Endeavour. The role is situated within the NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), which is tasked with lifecycle management activities for cyber security. Analysts will be responsible for developing and maintaining the information management landscape of the organization, assisting operational and project teams with data access and distribution, and providing high-level support during critical cyber security operations. This includes organizing meetings, taking real-time minutes, tracking decisions, and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders. The role demands maintaining situational awareness and managing information flow during high-pressure scenarios, thus playing a crucial part in rapid response coordination.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Information, Knowledge and Data Management Analysts include:
Developing and maintaining the information management landscape of the organization.
Assisting operational and project teams in accessing, creating, and distributing key data and information.
Providing high-level meeting support during critical cyber security operations, which involves organizing meetings, facilitating discussions, taking real-time minutes, managing decision tracking, and distributing outcomes to stakeholders.
Maintaining situational awareness and ensuring accurate information flow during high-pressure operational scenarios.
Supporting rapid response coordination by managing communication channels and information distribution.
Collaborating with various teams to ensure effective information management practices are in place.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with at least 3 years of post-related experience, or a secondary educational qualification with a minimum of 5 years of post-related experience. Proven experience in cyber security, particularly with an understanding of cyber security operations and terminology, is essential. Additionally, candidates should have experience in information management or knowledge management, and thorough knowledge of tools for information management such as the Atlassian stack or SharePoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including minute-taking and report writing, are required, along with the ability to take initiative and adapt to changing requirements in a demanding environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to respond sensitively to both internal and external stakeholders are also necessary.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes higher vocational training in a relevant field or a secondary educational qualification. Candidates should have a strong foundation in disciplines related to information management, cyber security, or similar areas, supported by relevant work experience.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have a minimum of 3 years of post-related experience if they hold higher vocational training, or 5 years of post-related experience if they have a secondary educational qualification.
