Job Overview:
The Asistente Senior de Programas position at WFP is crucial for the effective implementation of programs and projects aimed at addressing hunger and supporting vulnerable populations in Colombia. The role involves working under the supervision of the Partner Management Officer to facilitate the overall management of services related to program implementation. The incumbent is expected to ensure the integration of gender and protection approaches in all activities. This position requires a high level of organization and precision, as the individual will support specific unit activities, primarily focusing on the reconciliation and analysis of timely information for decision-making. The Asistente Senior de Programas will also provide guidance on best practices to field offices, partners, and headquarters, ensuring that all operations align with WFP's strategic objectives and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Asistente Senior de Programas include but are not limited to: ensuring compliance with the processes for drafting minutes, coordinating training sessions, and adhering to the annual plan; leading and coordinating the Partner Committee for emergency response, ensuring proper reviews and approvals; reviewing minutes to ensure all inputs from team members are included; ensuring all agreements are in line with corporate standards prior to signing; managing the selection process of partners according to corporate standards; overseeing competitive processes for partners through the UNPP portal; leading Technical Review Panel sessions to ensure effective technical review of proposals; providing technical support to partners and contributing to the review of internal manuals; managing internal systems and corporate tools for operational and programmatic processes; and performing other required activities as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, with a desirable professional degree in social, economic, or administrative sciences related to the functions of the position. Specific experience required includes a minimum of five years of progressive administrative work experience, with at least three years in project implementation monitoring. Proficiency in computer use and the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential, particularly in spreadsheet management, pivot tables, and report creation. Familiarity with database software and UN financial policies and procedures is desirable, as is experience with SAP information systems.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes the completion of secondary education as a minimum. A professional degree in fields such as social sciences, economics, or administration is preferred, as it aligns closely with the responsibilities of the role and enhances the candidate's ability to perform effectively in the position.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in administrative roles, with at least three years specifically focused on monitoring the implementation of projects. This experience should demonstrate a solid understanding of program management and the ability to navigate complex administrative processes effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and with partners. A basic knowledge of English is desirable, as it may facilitate communication with international colleagues and stakeholders.
