Job Overview:
The analyst" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Assistant Analyst position is designed to provide essential support to the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Front Office. The role involves monitoring signed projects, addressing client requests, and assisting the SSA Leadership team in tracking project implementation. This includes overseeing disbursement performance and the implementation of Technical Cooperation (TC) projects. The Assistant Analyst will also be responsible for preparing pipeline and portfolio reports, ensuring that all project-related materials are accurately maintained and distributed. The position requires a proactive approach to assist in various tasks, including the preparation of monitoring reports and maintaining the Deal Tracking Module entries. The role is integral to the SSA Front Office's operations, requiring a strong understanding of project cycles and the ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Analyst will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: assisting in SSA Front Office tasks by preparing monitoring reports and maintaining the SSA information database; providing assistance with the preparation and distribution of project-related materials; maintaining the project filing system (Projectlink) and assisting with the preparation of Project Monitoring Reports; drafting correspondence for bankers' review; conducting project and sector data searches from various sources to create informative slides or provide necessary information for project preparation and business development; assisting in marketing research, including the preparation of reports and other materials; supporting business development efforts by attending meetings with clients and joining marketing trips alongside bankers when necessary; maintaining communication with Operational Leaders (OLs) and providing portfolio and pipeline reports to management; and keeping the sector presentations database updated.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong set of skills, including fluency in English and a local language, both written and spoken. They should demonstrate a good sense of priorities and the ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with precision and accuracy. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential. Additionally, candidates should have good numerical and financial skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to interpret accounts. Knowledge of the local business environment and the Bank's policies and procedures, particularly regarding project cycles and monitoring processes, is also required.

Educational Background:
A higher education degree or relevant qualification is necessary for this position. Candidates should have a strong academic background that supports their understanding of the financial and operational aspects of investment projects.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have prior experience in administrative or back-office support related to investment project preparation and implementation. Experience in conducting research and presenting collated information is essential, as is the ability to compile statistical and other types of reports. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting project teams and contributing to successful project outcomes.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in a local language is also required. Additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in diverse environments.
