Job Overview:
The Health and Nutrition Policy Advocacy Intern position at UNICEF China is designed for university students or recent graduates who are eager to contribute to UNICEF's initiatives aimed at improving child health and nutrition outcomes. The intern will engage in evidence-informed advocacy and program development, gaining practical experience in policy research, stakeholder engagement, and program coordination within an international organization. Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for conducting desk reviews of relevant national and international policy documents, research reports, and academic literature related to child health and nutrition. They will assist in preparing policy briefs, evidence summaries, concept notes, presentations, and advocacy materials tailored for various audiences. The intern will also support the planning and coordination of technical meetings, consultations, and workshops, including preparing agendas and background materials. Communication and coordination with government counterparts, academic institutions, and other stakeholders will be essential, as will the translation, editing, and proofreading of materials in English and Chinese. Additionally, the intern will provide administrative support related to program implementation and advocacy activities, and undertake other assignments as agreed with the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program, majoring in nutrition, public health, finance, governance, social science, or a related field. Experience or coursework related to nutrition policy, health promotion, fiscal policies, or public policy analysis is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills are required, along with the ability to critically review and synthesize evidence from multiple sources. Experience in conducting literature reviews, desk research, or policy analysis through academic coursework or previous internships is essential. Previous experience supporting health policy research or working with research institutions or international organizations is an asset. Fluency in English and Mandarin is mandatory, and candidates must not have immediate relatives working in any UNICEF offices.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to be enrolled in a degree program at the undergraduate or postgraduate level, with a focus on fields such as nutrition, public health, finance, governance, social science, or related disciplines. Relevant coursework or experience in nutrition policy, health promotion, or public policy analysis is highly valued, indicating a strong foundation in the subject matter.

Experience:
Candidates should have some level of experience related to health policy research, program coordination, or engagement with research institutions, government agencies, or international organizations. Languages:
