Job Overview:
The Associate IT Officer (Videoconference Engineering) position is integral to the Infrastructure and Technology Division within the Information Technology Department at ADB. This role focuses on overseeing the engineering aspects of videoconferencing solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of collaboration platforms such as MS Teams and Zoom. The officer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the technical infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing the overall videoconferencing experience. This position requires a strong command of networking principles and Microsoft PowerShell, as well as the ability to set engineering standards for meeting room provisioning, support escalations, and maintain documentation in line with best practices and organizational IT policies. The role is pivotal in enabling effective communication and collaboration across the organization, contributing to ADB's mission of fostering prosperity in Asia.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate IT Officer will undertake a variety of duties, including but not limited to: playing a technical role in the engineering of meeting room solutions; identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical issues related to videoconferencing and networking to ensure efficient and timely resolutions; coordinating with clients and vendors to address technical issues, improve processes, and enhance preventive maintenance activities; building an environment for evaluation, testing, and overseeing the deployment of hardware, software, and system updates; ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to operations; overseeing and coordinating projects while resolving top technical issues weekly to improve overall service; and actively seeking new tools and technologies that can be validated and deployed to enhance the client experience.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, or related fields. Additional certifications and training in Project Management, ITIL, Unified Communications, and AI are preferred. A minimum of 5 years of work experience in providing solution design, leading implementation, and operational management of videoconferencing systems in an enterprise environment is required. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to articulate problems and document solutions. Experience with Unified Communications integration, Cloud-based Video/Voice solutions, and integration with Cloud solutions is preferred. Familiarity with Teams administration, Zoom administration, AI, Automation, PowerShell, Python, and Active Directory is considered a significant advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, or related fields. Candidates with additional certifications in Project Management, ITIL, Unified Communications, and AI will have an advantage in the selection process.

Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of relevant work experience in providing solution design, leading implementation, and operational management of videoconferencing systems. Candidates should have experience working in an enterprise environment that includes managing meeting rooms, MS Teams subscriptions, Zoom, and the integration of various solutions.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, with excellent written and verbal communication skills required. While English is the primary language for communication, knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not mandatory.

Additional Notes:
This appointment is a fixed-term position for an initial period of 3 years, with the possibility of extension for up to 2 additional years, conversion to a regular appointment, or termination at the end of the initial period based on ADB's needs and the employee's performance.
