Job Overview:
The ICAO Associate Field Recruitment Officer P2 is responsible for supporting the recruitment process for field positions within the organization. This role involves collaborating with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, developing job descriptions, and managing the recruitment process from job posting to candidate selection. The officer will also be expected to provide guidance on recruitment policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with ICAO's standards. The position requires a proactive approach to sourcing candidates, utilizing various recruitment channels, and maintaining a talent pool for future vacancies. The officer will also be involved in conducting interviews, assessing candidates, and providing recommendations to hiring managers. Additionally, the role may include participating in outreach activities to promote ICAO as an employer of choice and to attract a diverse range of applicants.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions for field positions.
  • Manage the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening applications, and coordinating interviews.
  • Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications and fit for the organization.
  • Provide recommendations to hiring managers based on candidate evaluations.
  • Maintain a talent pool of qualified candidates for future recruitment needs.
  • Ensure compliance with ICAO's recruitment policies and procedures throughout the hiring process.
  • Participate in outreach activities to promote ICAO as an employer and attract diverse candidates.
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on recruitment best practices.
  • Prepare recruitment reports and analyze data to improve recruitment strategies. 1
  • Stay updated on trends in recruitment and talent acquisition to enhance ICAO's recruitment efforts.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Ability to assess candidates' qualifications and fit for various roles.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment software and tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of international civil aviation and ICAO's mission is an asset.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree or additional certifications in human resources management is preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment or human resources is required. Experience in an international organization or in the aviation sector is an asset. Proven track record of successfully managing the recruitment process from start to finish is essential.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of French or other languages is an asset and will be considered a plus.
