Job Overview:
The Partnerships Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the effective functioning of YuWaah, a multi-stakeholder partnership platform aimed at enhancing opportunities for young people aged 10-2
  • This position involves coordinating governance mechanisms, managing partnerships, and facilitating stakeholder engagement to advance youth development initiatives. The officer will work closely with government stakeholders, UN agencies, and other development partners to ensure the visibility and impact of YuWaah's ecosystem. The role requires a proactive approach to strengthen collaboration across sectors and support high-level convenings and consultations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The officer will be responsible for coordinating YuWaah's governance mechanisms, including the Board and Leaders Council, and managing relationships with partners from various sectors such as private, philanthropic, and civil society. Key duties include coordinating partner reporting, stakeholder communications, and knowledge-sharing processes, as well as planning and delivering high-level convenings and consultations. The officer will also facilitate collaboration and information-sharing among stakeholders, support advocacy efforts related to youth development, and contribute to enhancing equity and inclusion in YuWaah's initiatives. Additional responsibilities may include supporting cross-functional initiatives and special projects as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in fields such as Social Science, Development Studies, Communications, Business Administration, Political Science, International Relations, or Public Policy. Relevant work experience of at least one year in areas such as partnerships, communication, stakeholder engagement, or program coordination is essential. Strong coordination skills, presentation abilities, and report writing skills are also required for this position.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in relevant fields is mandatory. The educational qualifications must be obtained from an institution accredited or recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of one year of relevant work experience in partnerships, communication, stakeholder engagement, or related fields. Experience in development contexts, particularly in fragile settings or humanitarian contexts, is highly desirable.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and Hindi is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish is considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
This position is a temporary role with a contract duration of 364 days. It is open to Indian Nationals or candidates with a valid work permit for India.
