Job Overview:
The Private Sector Partnerships Individual Giving Associate plays a crucial role within UNHCR's Division of External Relations, specifically in the Private Sector Partnerships Service (PSP). This position is focused on mobilizing resources from the private sector to support refugees through individual giving initiatives. The associate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase donor acquisition, retention, and engagement, ensuring a robust donor base that contributes significantly to UNHCR's mission. The role involves working with various fundraising channels, including direct mail, digital fundraising, telemarketing, and face-to-face campaigns, to secure both one-time and recurring donations from individuals. The associate will also provide leadership and technical expertise to the Individual Giving team, fostering a collaborative environment that maximizes the team's potential and effectiveness in achieving fundraising goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Private Sector Partnerships Individual Giving Associate include: assisting in the development of annual plans for donor acquisition and retention; managing donor communications and ensuring high-quality donor care; collaborating with marketing agencies to create effective donor journeys; implementing various fundraising campaigns; monitoring and reporting on progress against work plans and budgets; managing relationships with middle-value donors; overseeing donor database management; developing cross-channel fundraising campaigns; managing face-to-face fundraising activities; designing and executing digital fundraising strategies; assisting in cold mailing campaigns; and executing donor retention and development activities. The associate will also be responsible for analyzing donor data, providing insights for improvement, and ensuring compliance with ethical fundraising practices.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma, or two years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree or higher. Essential qualifications include experience in private sector fundraising, client/donor communication, marketing, or journalism, as well as proven experience in donor retention and development programs. Familiarity with fundraising databases and software is also required. Desirable qualifications include experience in the non-profit sector, project management, and data analysis.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a High School Diploma as a minimum, with a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field being preferred. Relevant certifications in these areas are also beneficial and may enhance a candidate's application.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have at least three years of relevant experience in fundraising, marketing, or donor relations, with a strong emphasis on private sector fundraising and donor retention strategies. Experience in managing fundraising campaigns and working with donor databases is essential, while previous experience in the non-profit sector and project management is highly desirable.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, with knowledge of French being a valuable asset. Candidates should demonstrate at least a B2 level of proficiency in the required languages, ensuring effective communication with diverse stakeholders and donors.
