The intern will have the opportunity to engage in various activities that support the overall goals of the UNODC, while also developing skills in project management, evaluation, and partnership building.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will undertake a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: assisting in the preparation and revision of detailed work plans for programme implementation; contributing to the daily execution of programme activities within set deadlines; evaluating the progress of activities and documenting both successes and challenges; strengthening networks with partners interested in the unit's work; collecting relevant information from various sources for project implementation and evaluation; organizing and coordinating the filing of correspondence and documents; providing guidance to implementing partners regarding project implementation; offering administrative support for activities related to combating trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants; and performing any other tasks compatible with their duties. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Alternatively, applicants may be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program or be in their final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's level). Official written proof from the university supporting one of these qualifications must be attached to the application. Additionally, candidates should be computer-literate in standard software applications and demonstrate a keen interest in the work of the United Nations, along with a personal commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter. Previous volunteer work, internships, or academic projects related to human rights, international law, or migration issues would be advantageous and could enhance a candidate's application.
