The intern will work under the guidance of the Private Philanthropy Loyalty Officer and will be involved in various tasks that support the High-Value Donor (HVD) unit. This role is crucial for developing skills in proposal writing, donor engagement, and research, while also contributing to the overall mission of the United Nations in mobilizing resources for humanitarian efforts. The internship is expected to start in August 2026 and will last for six months, providing a unique opportunity to learn about the intersection of philanthropy and international relations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: supporting the HVD unit in designing and developing concept notes, proposals, and reports; contributing to donor cultivation activities such as online webinars and seasonal outreach; assisting in organizing meetings and calls with partners; conducting research on fundraising and networking opportunities; compiling data on key performance indicators related to high-value donors; and preparing quarterly reports and analyses on the HVD portfolio. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be enrolled in or have recently completed a graduate or undergraduate program in fields such as Business Management, Communication, Marketing, International Relations, Journalism, or Social Sciences. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a service mindset, strong research and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Attention to detail, creativity, and a results-driven attitude are essential for success in this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, while knowledge of tools like Canva, Mailchimp, and Salesforce is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree or be enrolled in a graduate program. Relevant fields of study include Business Management, Communication, Marketing, International Relations, Journalism, or Social Sciences.
