Job Overview: The Senior Programme Manager will play a crucial role in managing a program that delivers a variety of services aimed at private sector development. Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the program to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Manage program budgets, ensuring financial accountability and adherence to funding requirements.
Coordinate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector partners, and community organizations, to foster collaboration and support for program initiatives.
Develop and maintain program documentation, including reports, proposals, and presentations, to communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
Monitor program performance against established indicators and make data-driven decisions to enhance effectiveness.
Provide guidance and support to program staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with program implementation, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and other events to promote the program and its objectives.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in program management, particularly in the context of private sector development.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on results-oriented outcomes.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Development, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in project management or related disciplines are highly desirable.
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in program management, with at least 3 years in a senior management role. Experience working in Afghanistan or similar contexts is preferred, demonstrating an understanding of the local economic landscape and challenges.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of local languages such as Dari or Pashto is an advantage, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and enhance program effectiveness.
Additional Notes: This position is classified as a senior level role (ICS 12) and is offered on an open-ended contract basis, subject to organizational requirements and availability of funds. The role is full-time and requires a commitment to achieving program objectives in a challenging environment.
