Job Overview: The International Consultant will support the UN Women Bangladesh Country Office in conducting an annual staff survey aimed at enhancing leadership and workplace relations. This role involves collecting and analyzing data, providing recommendations based on Cognitive Coaching and Adaptive Leadership principles, and ensuring that the survey is inclusive of all colleagues at the Bangladesh Country Office. The consultant will design the survey to measure perceived resourcefulness across five areas: Consciousness, Efficacy, Flexibility, Craftsmanship, and Interdependence. The ultimate goal is to collect actionable data that will help staff engage in a self-directed process to establish and sustain systems that enhance performance and resourcefulness across teams. The consultant will also facilitate coaching sessions and workshops to deepen leadership capacity within the office, aligning with UN Women’s social norm change strategy and upcoming People Strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and prepare the BCO staff survey for 2027, ensuring inclusivity and alignment with Cognitive Coaching and Adaptive Leadership principles.
Roll out the BCO Staff Survey for 2027, managing the logistics and communication with staff.
Conduct a session with Senior Leaders to discuss the findings of the BCO survey in 202
Prepare a comprehensive personnel/staff survey report that includes key findings and actionable recommendations for the office, to be shared with all staff.
Conduct one online refresher workshop on Adaptive Leadership and Cognitive Coaching.
Facilitate at least two coaching sessions for thematic units in 2027, focusing on establishing and sustaining systems that enhance performance based on survey findings.
Collaborate with various stakeholders within the office to ensure effective implementation of the survey and subsequent recommendations.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the guiding principles throughout the survey process.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, international studies, or a related field.
At least 5 years of professional experience in coaching, mentoring, and people development.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and documentation skills.
Knowledge and experience in Cognitive Coaching and Adaptive Leadership methodologies.
Previous work experience with UN agencies is considered an advantage.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and facilitate open communication.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, international studies, or any other related field. This educational background is essential to ensure a solid understanding of the principles of coaching, leadership, and gender equality, which are critical for the role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in coaching, mentoring, and people development. This experience should demonstrate a proven track record of effectively enhancing leadership capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within organizations. Familiarity with UN processes and frameworks will be beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as the role involves communication with diverse stakeholders and the preparation of reports and presentations. Knowledge of Bengali or other local languages is considered a plus, as it may facilitate better engagement with local staff and stakeholders.
