Job Overview:
The IT Project Manager position within the IAEA's Department of Safeguards is critical for ensuring that the organization's technological needs are met in alignment with its mission to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons. The role involves managing multiple IT projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and deliver the expected benefits. Duties and Responsibilities:
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for developing comprehensive project plans that align with IAEA policies and standards. This includes identifying solution options that adhere to the SGIS technical architecture and best practices as defined by the PRINCE2 methodology. The role requires managing the implementation of new information systems or enhancements to existing systems, leading agile software implementation teams, and providing continuous guidance throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The IT Project Manager will serve as the product manager for safeguards IT products, collaborating effectively with clients, third-party providers, end-users, and SGIS staff. Additionally, the role involves supporting the management of the SG IT project and product portfolio through data analysis and visualization, ensuring that all projects meet the established quality and risk management standards.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in a stipulated field with two additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree. A minimum of five years of experience as an IT project manager in an information systems context is required, particularly in client-facing roles. Candidates should have experience leading software delivery teams using lean/agile methodologies such as SCRUM, and familiarity with techniques for validating requirements with clients is essential. Additionally, accredited project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are considered assets, as well as certifications in Agile and Business Analysis such as CBAP and SCRUM Master.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A Bachelor's Degree may be acceptable if accompanied by two years of additional relevant experience. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of IT project management and the technical aspects of the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of experience as an IT project manager, specifically in an information systems context. Candidates should have a proven track record in managing IT projects, particularly in client-facing roles, and experience in leading software delivery teams using agile methodologies is essential. Familiarity with business process analysis and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions is also important.

Languages:
Excellent oral and written command of English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages, including Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish, is considered an asset and may enhance a candidate's profile.

Additional Notes:
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package, including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $71,335, subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance.
