Job Overview: The Young Professional Officer (Programme Support) position is situated within the Director's office of the Joint FAO/IAEA Centre of Nuclear Techniques in Food and Agriculture in Vienna, Austria. This role is pivotal in assisting with the development, implementation, and monitoring of various projects aimed at enhancing the Centre's outreach and partnership efforts. The officer will be responsible for supporting operational and financial activities, preparing communication materials, coordinating events, and managing knowledge effectively. The position requires a proactive approach to day-to-day operational tasks, including documentation management, budget tracking, data analysis, and streamlining administrative processes. Duties and Responsibilities: The Young Professional Officer will undertake a variety of duties and responsibilities that include: analyzing relevant technical, social, economic, environmental, and technological information to provide input for various documents; maintaining records and updating databases and web pages; providing technical support to various projects; collaborating in the development of training tools and materials, and organizing workshops and seminars; participating in the organization and follow-up of meetings, consultations, and conferences, including the production of required materials and provision of information to partners. Specific functions include assisting in drafting project proposals, supporting partnership development, contributing to communication materials for partner engagement, organizing events such as webinars and exhibitions, assisting in financial planning and monitoring expenditure, coordinating travel and meeting plans, ensuring compliance with procedures, and performing other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business administration, accounting, finance, social science, international relations, or a closely related field.
