Job Overview: The Audio Visual Systems Engineer (Infrastructure Engineering Analyst) position at the World Bank Group is a critical role within the Information Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidency. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Audio Visual Systems Engineer include performing daily readiness checks for audiovisual equipment, setting up and operating various AV systems, and providing technical support during events. Key responsibilities include: conducting equipment setup, troubleshooting, and testing for high-level conferences; managing audio and video systems during events; ensuring optimal performance of AV equipment; responding to client requests promptly; verifying virtual meeting connections; documenting technical issues and outcomes; and collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless event execution. The role also involves maintaining a professional presence during events, anticipating client needs, and managing last-minute changes effectively. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring high production quality and timely delivery of event materials, as well as reporting any anomalies or issues that arise during events.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for this position should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong background in audiovisual systems, particularly in complex environments such as conference rooms and event spaces, is essential. Candidates should have at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in audiovisual support, particularly for executive or high-profile events. Preferred qualifications include AVIXA CTS certification and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication abilities are crucial for success in this role.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Audio Visual Technology, or a related discipline. Candidates with equivalent experience in the IT field may also be considered, particularly those with a strong focus on audiovisual systems and event production.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in the setup, operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems. Candidates should have a proven track record of supporting high-profile events, demonstrating reliability, discretion, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues rapidly. Experience in managing complex audiovisual setups in corporate environments is highly desirable.
