Job Overview:
The position of Associado de Gestão de Projeto, also known as Project Analyst, is crucial for driving impactful project results through specialized planning, coordination, and collaboration with stakeholders. The role involves working closely with various partners to ensure that project objectives are met effectively and efficiently. The Project Analyst will be responsible for analyzing project needs, developing strategies, and implementing plans that align with the UNODC's mission and goals. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining a focus on achieving project outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Associado de Gestão de Projeto include but are not limited to:
  • Developing and implementing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations, to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Monitoring project progress and performance, identifying challenges, and proposing solutions to overcome obstacles.
  • Preparing reports and presentations to communicate project status and results to management and stakeholders.
  • Conducting research and analysis to inform project strategies and decision-making.
  • Ensuring compliance with UNODC policies and procedures, as well as relevant national and international regulations.
  • Participating in capacity-building activities and training sessions for project staff and partners.
  • Contributing to the development of project proposals and funding applications.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships with stakeholders. A solid understanding of project management principles and practices is required, along with proficiency in relevant software tools for project planning and reporting. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the values and principles of the United Nations, including integrity, professionalism, and respect for diversity.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in project management, international relations, social sciences, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may be considered an asset. Additional certifications in project management methodologies (such as PMP or PRINCE2) would be advantageous.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in project management, preferably within an international organization or a governmental agency. Experience working in the field of drug control, crime prevention, or related areas is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder projects and managing budgets is also important.

Languages:
Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Brazil. Proficiency in English is highly desirable, and knowledge of Spanish or other languages would be considered an asset.
