Job Overview:
The position of Consultant for Developing Sustainability and Transition Strategy for PAGE II involves working closely with UNDP to create a comprehensive strategy that ensures the sustainability and transition of the PAGE (Partnership for Action on Green Economy) initiative in Indonesia. The consultant will be responsible for analyzing current practices, identifying gaps, and proposing actionable strategies that align with national and international sustainability goals. This role requires a deep understanding of sustainability frameworks and the ability to engage with various stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society, and the private sector. The consultant will also need to assess the impact of existing policies and programs, providing recommendations for improvement and ensuring that the transition strategy is both practical and effective.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including: conducting a thorough analysis of the current sustainability practices within the PAGE initiative; engaging with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback; developing a detailed sustainability and transition strategy that includes clear objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes; preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to UNDP and other stakeholders; facilitating workshops and meetings to discuss the strategy and gather further input; ensuring that the strategy aligns with both national priorities and international sustainability commitments; and providing ongoing support and guidance during the implementation phase of the strategy.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in sustainability, environmental science, or a related field. They should have proven experience in developing sustainability strategies, preferably within the context of governmental or international organizations. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative approach to working with diverse stakeholders are essential. Familiarity with the PAGE initiative and its objectives will be considered an asset. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to sustainable development principles and practices.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a Master's degree in environmental science, sustainability, public policy, or a related field is required. Candidates with a PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant area will be given preference. Continuous professional development in sustainability practices or related certifications will also be advantageous.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in sustainability consulting, policy development, or project management. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of sustainability initiatives, is highly desirable. Proven track record of successfully leading projects from conception to implementation is essential, along with experience in stakeholder engagement and capacity building.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and enhance the effectiveness of the consultant's work. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the region may also be beneficial.

Additional Notes:
This position is offered as an individual contractor role, with a contract duration of 40 working days over a period of three months. The consultant will work remotely but may be required to attend meetings or workshops in person, depending on the needs of the project. The position is open to both national and international candidates, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
