Job Overview: The LogisticsCoordinator will lead the logistics activities of the merged mission (GGI & NER) to ensure the smooth running of Solidarités International's programs in both countries. The coordinator will implement and ensure compliance with Solidarités International's logistics procedures and tools, participate in defining the organization's strategy for the merged mission, and assist in project writing and resource allocation for activities. The role involves strengthening the logistics staff's capacities across all logistics functions, procurement processes, and compliance with ethical standards. The coordinator will also support the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director in operational functioning and act as the liaison between headquarters and the mission for all logistics-related inquiries.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:
Oversee the implementation of logistics procedures and tools across the merged mission.
Ensure compliance with procurement processes and manage contracts with suppliers.
Train and support logistics teams, particularly the newly appointed capital logistics manager.
Assist in the development of procurement timelines for new projects.
Collaborate with program teams to facilitate the delivery of equipment for activities in intervention zones.
Work with base logistics managers on stock management and improve archiving procedures.
Conduct risk management and accountability audits for donors.
Conduct an exhaustive inventory of materials and ensure proper labeling.
Implement training sessions for suppliers on codes of conduct and PSEA procedures. 1
Support local partners to ensure the success of objectives and secure delivery flows.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong understanding of logistics procedures, tools (LFU, TPM), and software (LINK, KOSTANGO, FINSCAN). They should have excellent coordination skills for managing multiple emergency projects and a thorough knowledge of SI's ethical compliance requirements. Strong internal coordination abilities and team management skills are essential, along with budget management and financial planning capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is also required.
Educational Background: A minimum of a Bac + 4/5 degree in Humanitarian Logistics is required for this position. Candidates should have a solid academic background that supports their understanding of logistics in humanitarian contexts.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the humanitarian sector. Experience in logistics management and coordination in emergency settings is essential, with a proven track record of managing logistics for multiple projects.
Languages: Fluency in French (spoken and written) is mandatory. Knowledge of a local language and English is considered an asset.
Additional Notes: The position is based in Lomé, with frequent travel to Northern Benin and Northern Togo, subject to administrative authorization. The role is a short-term contract, with a salary starting from EUR 2860 gross per month, plus a monthly per diem of 460,000 FCFA (approximately 700 euros). SI covers accommodation and travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the duty station. The organization also provides a break system during the mission, with 7 working days off every three months, and additional rest days for each month worked. Expatriates receive comprehensive health insurance covering medical expenses, including dental and ophthalmological care, and necessary vaccinations and malaria treatment are reimbursed.
