Job Overview:
The Industrial Return and Analytics Coordinator will play a pivotal role within the Industrial Return and Analytics Office, which is part of the Industrial Policy and Auditing Department under the Directorate of Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness. This position is essential for supporting ESA's strategic objectives by ensuring a fair and balanced geo-return through comprehensive data analysis and stakeholder engagement. The coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the geographical distribution of contracts across ESA's member states, aligning with the agency's program goals and industrial development priorities. The role involves developing advanced analytics tools and dashboards to facilitate informed decision-making across the agency. The successful candidate will also manage the registration and profiling of ESA suppliers, ensuring that the agency's industrial policy is shaped by data-driven insights and effective engagement with stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties of the Industrial Return and Analytics Coordinator include:
  • Geographical return monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder coordination: - Support the implementation and monitoring of geographical return across all ESA programmes. - Facilitate exchanges with ESA programmes and stakeholders to ensure the quality and transparency of industrial return data. - Monitor, validate, and analyze geo-return figures at various levels to ensure data integrity. - Prepare documentation, analysis, and presentations on geo-return topics for internal and external use. - Manage large datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data consolidation and integration for analysis. - Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies related to geo-return statistics. - Assist in preparing periodic IPC reports on geographical distribution of contracts. - Contribute to the development of analytical methodologies and performance indicators for monitoring industrial return.
  • Tools, systems, and process evolution: - Support the governance and improvement of corporate tools and systems related to industrial return. - Monitor system usage and propose enhancements based on evolving needs. - Contribute to the maintenance of the regulatory framework supporting geo-return.
  • Collaborative activities: - Promote knowledge-sharing and best practices in corporate systems. - Collaborate with other services within the department and across the agency to ensure effective coordination and information exchange.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting capabilities. Effective planning and self-organization skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate team activities. Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of six years of professional experience in relevant fields. This experience should include data analysis, particularly in the consolidation, validation, and interpretation of large and complex datasets that support decision-making. Familiarity with corporate management tools and working methods is also essential, as is experience in the development and evolution of information systems.

Languages:
The working languages of ESA are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these languages is mandatory for the position. Knowledge of another Member State language would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively within the diverse environment of ESA.

Additional Notes:
The position is a four-year appointment, extendable to indefinite, and is classified within the grade band A2-A
  • Recruitment will primarily be within this grade band, but candidates with less than four years of relevant experience may be considered for an A1 level position.
