Job Overview: The position is designed for individuals with prior experience in the humanitarian sector, bridging both headquarters and field operations. The role emphasizes compliance and accountability towards external partners, donors, and implementing partners, with a particular focus on collaboration with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). The successful candidate will join the Partnerships and Operational Development Service (SPDO) at SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL for a duration of 12 months. This role is non-desk based, meaning it is not tied to a specific geographical desk, and will involve working closely with a team of five desk-based RPDOs and one other non-desk RPDO under the hierarchical responsibility of the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Deputy Director for Partnerships and Operational Development. The selected individual will manage a specific donor portfolio, including SIDA and other donors yet to be defined, and will serve as the focal point for the organization. Additionally, the role will support desk-based RPDO colleagues as needed, assist the PDO service on various funding projects, and contribute to the development of standards and documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities for this position include mastering the functioning and rules of institutional donors, understanding submission procedures and platforms, managing the contract cycle, project cycle, and partnership implementation cycle. The candidate will be responsible for reporting and project proposal writing for various donors, demonstrating strong analytical and synthesis skills. The role requires sufficient administrative and financial knowledge to review financial reports and budgets, as well as excellent planning, anticipation, and coordination skills to meet deadlines and respond to internal and external requests. The candidate must possess strong prioritization abilities, adaptability, and resilience under stress, along with a high level of diplomacy and experience working in intercultural environments. Team spirit and the ability to coordinate team members without being a hierarchical manager are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, and email (Outlook) is also required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a higher education degree (level bac +5) in Political Science, International Relations, International Development, or a related field. Humanitarian field experience is highly valued, along with at least two years of experience in managing donor contracts, reporting, and fundraising. Previous experience with SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL and familiarity with SI tools are considered a plus. Experience within the headquarters of a humanitarian organization or in a similar position, as well as prior engagement with SIDA, is also advantageous.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a higher education degree (level bac +5) in relevant fields such as Political Science, International Relations, or International Development. This level of education is essential to ensure that the candidate possesses the necessary theoretical knowledge and analytical skills required for the role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience in managing donor contracts, reporting, and fundraising. Additional Notes: The position is based at the headquarters of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL in Clichy la Garenne, with occasional field travel required. It is a short-term contract (CDD) for 12 months, classified as a managerial position. The gross monthly salary ranges from €3,502 to €3,647, depending on the candidate's experience and the organization's salary scale. There is a possibility of remote work, allowing for 4 to 12 days of telecommuting per month or full remote work within metropolitan France, with a requirement for three days of in-person attendance each month. The organization offers 2.0833 vacation days per month and one RTT day for each full month of work, along with a mutual insurance contribution of 80%, meal vouchers covering 60%, and transportation costs in Île de France at 50% covered by the organization. Additionally, there are recovery days and full medical coverage during field missions.
