Job Overview: The Industrial Return Coordination Lead will play a pivotal role within the Industrial Return and Analytics Office, which is part of the Industrial Policy and Auditing Department under the Directorate of Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness. This position is crucial for supporting ESA's strategic objectives by ensuring a fair and balanced geo-return through comprehensive data analysis and stakeholder engagement. This role involves preparing documentation and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, managing large datasets, and contributing to the development of analytical methodologies and reporting tools. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies, as well as supporting the evolution of corporate tools and systems related to industrial return.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of the Industrial Return Coordination Lead include:
Monitoring and reporting on geographical return across all ESA programs, ensuring data quality and transparency.
Supporting exchanges with ESA programs and stakeholders to ensure the availability and quality of industrial return data.
Preparing documentation, analysis, simulations, and presentations on geo-return topics for various audiences.
Managing large datasets from multiple sources, including data consolidation and integration for analysis.
Contributing to the identification of risks and mitigation strategies related to geo-return statistics.
Assisting in the preparation of periodic IPC reporting on geographical distribution of contracts.
Supporting the governance and continuous improvement of corporate tools and systems related to industrial return.
Promoting knowledge-sharing and best practices in the use of corporate systems, including preparing training materials and delivering training sessions.
Collaborating with other services within the department and across the agency to ensure effective coordination and information exchange.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting capabilities. Experience: A minimum of six years of professional experience is required for this position. This experience should include data analysis, particularly in the consolidation, validation, and interpretation of large and complex datasets that support decision-making. Familiarity with corporate management tools and working methods is also essential, as well as experience in the development and evolution of information systems.
Languages: The working languages of ESA are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these languages is mandatory, while knowledge of another Member State language would be considered an asset. Additional Notes: The position is a four-year appointment, extendable to indefinite, and falls within the grade band A2-A
Recruitment will primarily be within this advertised grade band, but candidates with less than four years of relevant experience may be considered for an A1 level position.
