Job Overview: The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is situated within the Development and Communication department, which consists of 16 members. The intern will report directly to the Campaigns, Mobilization, and Visibility Officer and will support the Communication and Engagement Service in developing institutional and thematic communication campaigns through a multichannel approach. The role involves managing communication partnerships and external events aimed at enhancing the visibility, reputation, and resource development of the NGO. Interns will gain insights into the functioning of an international NGO's headquarters and the various roles within SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, both in the field and at headquarters. They will also learn about the relationships between different humanitarian actors and understand the challenges of visibility, reputation, and public fundraising for a transforming international NGO. The internship will provide practical experience in communication, strategic planning, media economics, and project management in collaboration with content creators, agencies, and media partners.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will assist in the operational execution and implementation of campaigns, including monitoring, benchmarking, researching dissemination spaces, creating timelines, and following up with service providers and agencies. They will contribute to the development of briefs and creative levers with a marketing and visibility logic. The intern will support the creation of communication content and materials while adhering to the organization's graphic charter and dissemination formats. They will conduct campaign monitoring, participate in brainstorming sessions with the Campaigns, Mobilization, and Visibility Officer, and assist in establishing partnerships with service providers, agencies, and media for campaigns and visibility projects. The intern will also coordinate the multi-media dissemination of campaigns, ensuring adherence to timelines and delivery dates for internal and external deliverables. Regular updates to the 'Dissemination & Visibility' tracking table, performance indicators, and campaign evaluations will be required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a higher education degree (Master's level, Bac +4/5) in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Strategic Planning, Information Communication, or Media Economics from a recognized institution. A prior professional experience through internships or work-study programs in communication, either with an advertiser or an agency, is mandatory. Experience in developing and managing communication campaigns is highly desirable, whether in the private, public, or non-profit sectors. A genuine interest in the humanitarian sector, NGOs, and development is essential, although prior experience in this field is not a requirement. The ideal candidate should demonstrate creativity, rigor, organization, curiosity, autonomy, and the ability to manage stress and deadlines. Excellent writing and speaking skills are crucial, including proficiency in syntax, spelling, synthesis, public speaking, and frequent external communications.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree (Bac +4/5) in relevant fields such as Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Strategic Planning, Information Communication, or Media Economics. Candidates from communication or business schools such as ISCOM, Sup de Pub, CELSA, NEOMOA, SKEMA, or EM Lyon are preferred. A strong academic foundation in these areas will be beneficial for the responsibilities of the internship.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have prior professional experience, specifically through internships or work-study programs in communication. This experience should ideally be in a role that involved the development and management of communication campaigns. While experience in the humanitarian sector is not mandatory, a strong interest in this field is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory for this position, given the nature of the work and the target audience. A good command of English is also required, as it is essential for communication within the international context of the organization. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not mandatory.
Additional Notes: The internship is set to begin on August 27, 2026, and will last for a duration of 6 months. The position is based at the headquarters of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL in Clichy-la-Garenne, Ile-de-France, France. The internship will involve a hybrid work model, allowing for 4 to 12 days of remote work per month. Occasional travel may be required for meetings, professional lunches, or campaign launch events.
