SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid organization that has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters for over 40 years. Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is situated within the Development and Communication department, which consists of 16 members. The intern will report directly to the Campaigns, Mobilization, and Visibility Officer, providing support to the Communication and Engagement Service in developing institutional and thematic communication campaigns through a multichannel approach. The role aims to enhance the organization's visibility, reputation, and resource development efforts. Interns will gain insights into the operations of an international NGO's headquarters and learn about various roles within SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, both in the field and at the headquarters. They will also understand the dynamics between different humanitarian actors and the importance of visibility and public fundraising for a transforming international NGO. The internship will allow interns to apply and refine their skills in communication, strategic planning, media economics, and project management, working alongside content creators, agencies, and media partners. Interns will join a socially and humanitarily focused organization, becoming part of a dedicated, energetic, and supportive team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will assist in the operational execution and implementation of communication campaigns, including monitoring, benchmarking, researching dissemination spaces, creating timelines, and overseeing service providers and agencies. They will contribute to developing briefs and creative strategies with a marketing and visibility focus, support the creation of communication materials while adhering to the organization's graphic charter, and participate in brainstorming sessions with the Campaigns, Mobilization, and Visibility Officer. The intern will also help establish partnerships with service providers, agencies, and media outlets for campaigns and visibility projects, coordinate the multi-media dissemination of campaigns, and regularly update performance indicators and campaign evaluations. Additionally, the intern will participate in identifying events and mobilization opportunities that enhance the organization's public visibility and fundraising efforts, support the organization of external events related to communication campaigns, and assist in internal communication efforts by collecting and disseminating information within the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a higher education degree (Master's level, Bac +4/5) in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Strategic Planning, Information Communication, or Media Economics from a recognized institution. A prior professional experience through internships or work placements in communication, either in-house or at an agency, is mandatory. Experience in developing and managing communication campaigns is highly desirable, whether in the private, public, or non-profit sectors. A genuine interest in humanitarian work and NGOs is essential, although prior experience in this field is not required. Candidates should demonstrate creativity, rigor, organization, curiosity, autonomy, and the ability to manage stress and deadlines. Excellent writing and speaking skills, including proficiency in syntax, spelling, synthesis, public speaking, and frequent external communication, are crucial. A strong motivation for communication campaigns, content creation, project management, audience mobilization, and strategic marketing/communication is expected. Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools (Adobe CC Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Acrobat, as well as Canva) is required, along with a good command of Office 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), internet usage, and social media platforms. A good command of English is also necessary.

Educational Background:
Candidates should have a Master's degree (Bac +4/5) in fields related to Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Strategic Planning, Information Communication, or Media Economics from reputable institutions such as ISCOM, Sup de Pub, CELSA, NEOMOA, SKEMA, or EM Lyon.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have prior professional experience, specifically through internships or work placements in communication roles, either with an organization or at an agency. Experience in developing and managing communication campaigns is highly valued, particularly in the private, public, or non-profit sectors. While a background in the humanitarian sector is not mandatory, a genuine interest in this field is essential.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in French is also required. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not specified as mandatory.

  • The intern will be based at the SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL headquarters in Clichy-la-Garenne, Ile-de-France, France. Remote work is allowed for 4 to 12 days per month. Occasional travel may be required for meetings, professional lunches, or campaign launch events. The internship includes a legal stipend of 15% of the current social security hourly ceiling, calculated based on actual hours worked. Transportation costs will be covered at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, and meal vouchers worth €8.90 per day will be provided, with a 60% contribution from the organization.
