Job Overview:
This internship is based in New York and is designed to support the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) through its Digital Tech and Human Rights Section. The intern will play a crucial role in assisting the OHCHR in its mission to protect human rights for all individuals, empower people to realize their rights, and support those responsible for upholding these rights. The intern's daily responsibilities will vary based on the activities within the assigned work section and the individual's qualifications and competencies. Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be involved in a variety of tasks that may include: conducting research and analysis on thematic and regional issues related to digital technology and human rights; drafting and summarizing reports, background materials, and other relevant documents as needed; preparing for and servicing meetings, seminars, and workshops, which includes the preparation of documentation and drafting notes and reports; and performing other related duties as requested by the supervisor. The intern will have the opportunity to engage with various stakeholders and contribute to meaningful projects that align with the UN's mission.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for the United Nations Secretariat internship programme, applicants must be a recent graduate or currently enrolled in a graduate school programme (Master's degree or equivalent) or a first-level university degree programme (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) preferably in law, political science, international relations, social sciences, or a related field.
