Job Overview: The position of ET Consultant (IT Workforce Engagement & Development) at the World Bank is designed to enhance employee engagement and foster a cohesive culture within the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the organization has the right technology skills and digital fluency necessary for successful digital transformation. The consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing integrated engagement strategies that align with the organization's priorities, thereby strengthening the agile culture across global hubs. The role also involves developing and managing various engagement programs, supporting leadership in fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous feedback, and ensuring effective internal communications that resonate with stakeholders. The consultant will work closely with various teams to facilitate change management and organizational alignment, ultimately contributing to the World Bank's mission of addressing global development challenges.
Duties and Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of the ET Consultant include:
Employee Engagement & Culture Initiatives: Designing and implementing organization-wide employee engagement strategies, managing engagement programs such as recognition initiatives and listening campaigns, and supporting leadership in fostering a culture of psychological safety and collaboration.
Internal Communications Strategy & Execution: Developing and executing a structured internal communications strategy, drafting leadership messages, newsletters, and intranet content, and ensuring clear and consistent messaging tailored to stakeholders.
Change Management & Organizational Alignment: Leading communication and engagement components of transformation initiatives, designing change communication plans, and facilitating workshops to reinforce key messages.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership Support: Partnering with leadership and HR teams to provide advisory support on communication strategies and supporting key events.
Engagement Insights & Reporting: Designing mechanisms for gathering employee feedback, analyzing engagement data for actionable insights, and developing dashboards to track engagement metrics and communication effectiveness. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience. They should have a strong background in employee engagement, internal communications, and agile culture transformation, along with proven stakeholder engagement skills. Experience in organizational change and transformation environments is essential, as well as a solid understanding of employee engagement practices, including the design and implementation of engagement initiatives. Strong analytical skills are required, with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, along with familiarity with digital tools and platforms that enhance engagement.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Communications, or a Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience in related areas. Candidates should have a strong academic foundation that supports their understanding of employee engagement and organizational dynamics.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have significant experience in employee engagement, internal communications, and organizational change management. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is expected for those with a Master’s degree, while candidates with a Bachelor’s degree should have at least 7 years of experience in similar roles. Experience in designing and implementing engagement initiatives, as well as familiarity with agile methodologies, is highly desirable.
Languages: The mandatory language for this position is English, which is essential for effective communication within the organization and with stakeholders.
