Job Overview: The AI Governance Analyst position at the World Bank Group is designed to operationalize AI governance processes that ensure responsible and impactful AI adoption across the organization. This role is pivotal in translating governance expectations into actionable workflows, tools, and guidance that facilitate the integration of AI into the World Bank's operations. The analyst will be responsible for conducting intake analysis and lifecycle tracking for AI use cases, maintaining visibility on AI initiatives, and contributing to the monitoring and reporting of AI governance. Duties and Responsibilities: The AI Governance Analyst will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: operationalizing AI governance processes, translating governance expectations into clear workflows and tools, conducting intake analysis for AI use cases, maintaining visibility on AI initiatives and risks, and contributing to monitoring and reporting of AI governance. The analyst will review AI intake requests, manage governance records, coordinate with various expert teams, and support the monitoring of higher-risk AI solutions. Additionally, the analyst will develop staff enablement materials, track AI trends and regulatory developments, and prepare concise briefs and decision materials for governance discussions. This role requires a collaborative approach, working across technical and non-technical teams to ensure effective governance and responsible AI use.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the AI Governance Analyst position should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ideal candidates will have experience in AI, data, digital transformation, risk management, compliance, policy, or governance. Familiarity with AI concepts, data analytics, and technology governance is essential. Strong analytical skills, the ability to structure ambiguous problems, and excellent writing and synthesis skills are required. Candidates should demonstrate proven coordination abilities, organizational skills, and a commitment to responsible innovation.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline.
